Trying different Hair Colors

I love the brown hair color combinations and tend to do all my cards with brown hair.  I am trying to do some of the different combinations and these are the ones that I actually liked the colors.  I still struggle to get the black hair to look nice.  Something to keep working on.

I didn't think blonde hair would be hard but getting it to look good on the card is actually harder then I though it would be.

Then there is brown and this is my favorite Copics combination.  I used E 21, E 24, E 29.

Love of Besties

I have found that coloring with Copics helps to relieve the stress from work.  I love Sherri Baldy's Besties digi stamps.  Here are a few of the Besties that I done lately.  I get wrapped up in coloring and then don't take the time to make the images into cards.  So, here a few of the ones that have actually been put into cards.

I get hooked on doing the cards with my favorite color pink so I have been trying to expand and have started using different color combinations.

I know they all still seem to have a little pink on them.

Red and Black Copic Combos

Love the red colors of colic markers.  They are a little harder for me to use.  Trying to stay within the lines is a little more difficult then I thought and I have not quite mastered the blender marker.  The first is one I colored when I first started with copics she is the first Bestie that I colored.  Loved all the details of the image.

These are few different cards I have made as I started getting ready for Christmas cards.  Yes, I know they are not all the christmas them but if you could see the stack I have now you would understand the need to do some things that are different.

The first of many Christmas cards that I have done for this christmas season.  This has become my stress relief at night.  When I was talking to someone and told them I needed to color more to cut down on stress she started laughing.  She said she would have to tell her daughter.  I know it sounds funny but works better then eating or drinking all  the time.

Stamping Up Group

These were the cards from August Stampin Up Group.  The stamp set used in the first card was from the Seasonal Catalog - Halloween Bash.  I cased the first two cards from Pinterest.    I used heat and stick embossing powder and then poured the halloween glitter over the top. The heat and stick keeps the glitter on the card and does not get it all over everything else.  The label was cut out using the decorative label punch and then the medium oval to cut out the middle.  I cut the bat image out with the scalloped punch and then adhered it to the back of the decorative label.  The next layer was done on Basic gray cardstock.  The image was stamped using versamark and then embossed with black embossing powder.  I then layered it with black card stock.  The image is then cut so it is actually longer then the actual stamp.  The decorative label goes over the top to cover where it is cut.  The designer paper was this years designer halloween paper from Stampin Up.  I used rhinestones and colored them with an orange marker.

This bookmark was so easy to make and the group always wants at least one simple project. I cut the tags out using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge as well as the decorative label and Wording.  The butterfly was cut with the butterfly punch from Mocha designer paper from last year.  Then used newspaper print designer paper for the foundation of the card.  The rose was from the rose ribbon from Stampin Up.  Just cut off one and adhered it with a glue dote.

Some of the girls follow me on Pinterest and said they hoped we would make some of the cards I had recently posted.  Since I was already doing a card for Halloween I decided to use a Halloween digital image from Sherri Baldy's My Besties.  I colored her using copics.  I used E00, E01 and E02 for her face and R20 for her cheeks.  The hat and dress were colored using V01, V04, V05, Vo6, V09.  The pumpkin was colored using YR 04, YR 07, YR09, YR65, E14.  Stars were colored using Y00.  Shirt was colored using Y13 and YG09.
Spider web was cut again with my cricut.  Ribbon is Stampin Up Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon.  The base of card was done with Tangerine Tango and then a retired designer halloween paper.  Green is Pear Pizzaz and then the spooky is stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink.  The spooky came from the Wicked Cool Stamp set.

More Besties

Now that football season has started coloring these images gives me a way to sit with my husband and be occupied.

Another look at cards made with Sherri Baldy's Besties.  I used these girls because they have great hair to use when learning to color hair with colics. I tried to different color combinations for blond hair.

Love the way her hair came out.  My challenge has been to take the time to write down the colors I have used so that I can recreate the same color combinations.  Finally found a template that I think will make it a little easier.

Got her hair done and tried a violet color combination with Copic markers.  For some reason the violet colors are harder for me to get the feel of which colors go well together.  Now that halloween is approaching hopefully can figure it out.

All of these have been made using  5.25" x 5.25" card stock then cutting the designer paper at 5".  Then I trim the image edges so that it will fit on the card.  All the papers used are from Stampin up.  I know I should have made the image so it would fit.  Still working on figuring out how big the image needs to be before I print it out.  These were some of the first digital images I printed.  IT helped to have them a little bigger then they probable should have been to get use to coloring with the copics.

I have started coloring images for halloween and will post those soon.  Will try to post the copic colors used.
