Halloween Witches

Here are some more of the halloween cards I made this year.  All of the cards are cut at 5.25 x 5.25.  The images are from Sherry Baldy's Besties.  Halloween paper is from Stampin Up.  I cut the spider webs with my cricut as well as the purple frame behind the 2nd witch.  All were colored with copics.  I found the second image on the website for the original digital stamp and fell in love with the hair color and cloths.  She is a lot of fun to color and there are so many ways to color her.  Hope you enjoy.

Used the same colors for her just tried a different layout with different embellishments.

The fence behind this witch was cut with the cricut and the paper came with the flocked bats on the paper.  Could not figure out how I was going to use it until I colored her.

Stamping Up Group

These were the cards from August Stampin Up Group.  The stamp set used in the first card was from the Seasonal Catalog - Halloween Bash.  I cased the first two cards from Pinterest.    I used heat and stick embossing powder and then poured the halloween glitter over the top. The heat and stick keeps the glitter on the card and does not get it all over everything else.  The label was cut out using the decorative label punch and then the medium oval to cut out the middle.  I cut the bat image out with the scalloped punch and then adhered it to the back of the decorative label.  The next layer was done on Basic gray cardstock.  The image was stamped using versamark and then embossed with black embossing powder.  I then layered it with black card stock.  The image is then cut so it is actually longer then the actual stamp.  The decorative label goes over the top to cover where it is cut.  The designer paper was this years designer halloween paper from Stampin Up.  I used rhinestones and colored them with an orange marker.

This bookmark was so easy to make and the group always wants at least one simple project. I cut the tags out using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge as well as the decorative label and Wording.  The butterfly was cut with the butterfly punch from Mocha designer paper from last year.  Then used newspaper print designer paper for the foundation of the card.  The rose was from the rose ribbon from Stampin Up.  Just cut off one and adhered it with a glue dote.

Some of the girls follow me on Pinterest and said they hoped we would make some of the cards I had recently posted.  Since I was already doing a card for Halloween I decided to use a Halloween digital image from Sherri Baldy's My Besties.  I colored her using copics.  I used E00, E01 and E02 for her face and R20 for her cheeks.  The hat and dress were colored using V01, V04, V05, Vo6, V09.  The pumpkin was colored using YR 04, YR 07, YR09, YR65, E14.  Stars were colored using Y00.  Shirt was colored using Y13 and YG09.
Spider web was cut again with my cricut.  Ribbon is Stampin Up Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon.  The base of card was done with Tangerine Tango and then a retired designer halloween paper.  Green is Pear Pizzaz and then the spooky is stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink.  The spooky came from the Wicked Cool Stamp set.

Mr and Mrs Mummy

Had a request from a friend to make her grandson a halloween card.  Struggled with this for a while since most of my cards where geared towards girls.  I found these digital stamps at Lacy Sunshine.  They were fun to color and not that difficult.  I   used copic markers C1 and C3 for the body of the boy and then E01,  E02, E11, and R20 for the cheeks and faces of all the mummy's.  B01 for the eyes.  The paper is a Stampin up halloween designer paper from last year.  The Spooky and Spider Web frame were cut using the Close to My Heart cricut cartridge - Artbooking.  The sparkle was done using diamond Stickles.

I wanted to make her a little more feminine then the boy so decided to color her using some pink tones.  I used copic markers R00 and R01 for her body.  I think she needed some glitter to make her a diva so I used the diamond Stickles on her bow as well.  She also got an elegant spider web made of pearls.
As you can tell I have been playing with what to do with the backgrounds.  I had to go back and fill in the dots to the board on the girl card.  The boy card came out a little heavy on the dots and I found I liked it better when they were more spread out.  I thought I would use a background I found as well but that meant trying to merge the two images and I have not mastered that task yet.  Maybe soon.

I have been coloring lots of halloween cards using orange, green and purple.  Got a little tired of those colors so I tried this color combination.  Nothing like Halloween but it was fun especially since Pink is one of my favorite colors.  She was colored using the same colors as the one above.  The overlay was done with the same cricut cartridge.

Today I will post a couple of the different cards done with a witch for halloween.  The witch comes from the following website: http://www.tiddlyinks.com
I have come to love the digital stamps since you can determine what size they need to be for the card.  These were some of the first images I colored with my copics.  I had a few issues with staying in the lines but have slowly gotten better at the smaller areas of the design.  The glitter is the diamond or crystal stickles.

The lettering for this one was done with my cricut and were embellished with rhinestones.  I do like to have bling on the cards.

I think this one turned out to be my favorite maybe because I love polka dots.

Again the spider web on this one was cut with my cricut from Close to my Heart- Artbook.   Of course I had to add the bling to the spider web.

Heart to Heart

Here is my take on a picture from the January stampin success.  I wanted something that could still be hung after valentine day.  Instead of using valentine paper I used Beau Chateau.  I then used the new heart framelits.  Then the little hearts are cut using the fashionable hearts embosslits.  The background is confetti white cut into an 8 x 8 square.  The bow on the smaller heart is marine mist 1/4 inch grosgrain.
