Here are some of the recent cards made during our monthly group.

I have seen the origami bow on several cards and just loved how it looked.  I found the instructions on the web on how to make them and gave it a whirl.  I used a 4 x 4 piece of designer paper to make this one since I did not want a very big bow.

Trying different Hair Colors

I love the brown hair color combinations and tend to do all my cards with brown hair.  I am trying to do some of the different combinations and these are the ones that I actually liked the colors.  I still struggle to get the black hair to look nice.  Something to keep working on.

I didn't think blonde hair would be hard but getting it to look good on the card is actually harder then I though it would be.

Then there is brown and this is my favorite Copics combination.  I used E 21, E 24, E 29.

Love of Besties

I have found that coloring with Copics helps to relieve the stress from work.  I love Sherri Baldy's Besties digi stamps.  Here are a few of the Besties that I done lately.  I get wrapped up in coloring and then don't take the time to make the images into cards.  So, here a few of the ones that have actually been put into cards.

I get hooked on doing the cards with my favorite color pink so I have been trying to expand and have started using different color combinations.

I know they all still seem to have a little pink on them.

Halloween

Always amazes me how fast time flies any more.  Did not realize it had been almost a month since the last time I posted.  Get busy playing and forget to post some of the projects.  Here a few of the things I have done in the last month.

Have done this witch several times this halloween but I think this turned out to be my favorite.  Loved how she looked with the black stripes behind her.  Striped paper was last years Stampin Up halloween designer paper.  She was colored with copics
Dress and Hat: V04, V05, V06, V09
Skin: E000, E01, E02, E11
Cheeks: R 20
Hair: E21, E23, E25

The wording and fence were cut with my Cricut using the Happy Haunting cartridge.

This next two images  came from Lacy Sunshine.  The mummy was colored with copics using  Body: C1, C3, 0
Face: E000, E01, E02
Eyes: B01
The background used the C colors and B01 to just speckle the background.  Paper was from Stampin Up the base of card was Smoky Slate then very vanilla.  The Polka dotted paper was Stampin Up designer paper for halloween.  Spider web was cut out using my Cricut and the Artbooking cartridge.  The glitter strip and Decorative label are from Close to my Heart.

Frankenstein is from Lacy Sunshine as well he is colored with colics.  The wording and overlay were cut with the Cricut using the Artbooking cartridge.  I stickled the wording just because I have to have the bling.  He was colored with the following colors.
Face: YG03, YG13, YG17, R21
Pants: V12, V15, V17
Shirt: YR12, YR15, YR18
Hair: C3, C5, C7, C9

Bright Colors

I have a preference for doing images with pastels so I am trying to break out of my rut by trying these brighter colors.   Love how bright things came out.  Sorry the 1st image is blurry.  Pink is my favorite color if you have not figured this out by all the previous images.

Both cards were done with Stampin Up paper and designer papers.  Some of these papers I have had for years so can't remember what speciality papers were named.  I am sure most of them have been retired.  The cutouts were done with my cricut with embellishments that i got from Hobby Lobby.  I see all the pretty cutouts that people are using on their cards and have ordered some of the die cuts to start trying as well.  The ribbon came from Stampin Up as well.

Halloween Witches

Here are some more of the halloween cards I made this year.  All of the cards are cut at 5.25 x 5.25.  The images are from Sherry Baldy's Besties.  Halloween paper is from Stampin Up.  I cut the spider webs with my cricut as well as the purple frame behind the 2nd witch.  All were colored with copics.  I found the second image on the website for the original digital stamp and fell in love with the hair color and cloths.  She is a lot of fun to color and there are so many ways to color her.  Hope you enjoy.

Used the same colors for her just tried a different layout with different embellishments.

The fence behind this witch was cut with the cricut and the paper came with the flocked bats on the paper.  Could not figure out how I was going to use it until I colored her.

Stamping Up Group

These were the cards from August Stampin Up Group.  The stamp set used in the first card was from the Seasonal Catalog - Halloween Bash.  I cased the first two cards from Pinterest.    I used heat and stick embossing powder and then poured the halloween glitter over the top. The heat and stick keeps the glitter on the card and does not get it all over everything else.  The label was cut out using the decorative label punch and then the medium oval to cut out the middle.  I cut the bat image out with the scalloped punch and then adhered it to the back of the decorative label.  The next layer was done on Basic gray cardstock.  The image was stamped using versamark and then embossed with black embossing powder.  I then layered it with black card stock.  The image is then cut so it is actually longer then the actual stamp.  The decorative label goes over the top to cover where it is cut.  The designer paper was this years designer halloween paper from Stampin Up.  I used rhinestones and colored them with an orange marker.

This bookmark was so easy to make and the group always wants at least one simple project. I cut the tags out using the Artiste Cricut Cartridge as well as the decorative label and Wording.  The butterfly was cut with the butterfly punch from Mocha designer paper from last year.  Then used newspaper print designer paper for the foundation of the card.  The rose was from the rose ribbon from Stampin Up.  Just cut off one and adhered it with a glue dote.

Some of the girls follow me on Pinterest and said they hoped we would make some of the cards I had recently posted.  Since I was already doing a card for Halloween I decided to use a Halloween digital image from Sherri Baldy's My Besties.  I colored her using copics.  I used E00, E01 and E02 for her face and R20 for her cheeks.  The hat and dress were colored using V01, V04, V05, Vo6, V09.  The pumpkin was colored using YR 04, YR 07, YR09, YR65, E14.  Stars were colored using Y00.  Shirt was colored using Y13 and YG09.
Spider web was cut again with my cricut.  Ribbon is Stampin Up Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon.  The base of card was done with Tangerine Tango and then a retired designer halloween paper.  Green is Pear Pizzaz and then the spooky is stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink.  The spooky came from the Wicked Cool Stamp set.
